Allen Gross was raised in Chico and Paradise, California and graduated from Paradise High school in 1980. He joined the Marine Corps and served through 1984. Allen was trained in electronics and leadership through the military.
Allen continued his career in electronics and worked for several high-tech companies through 1997. He worked for two person start ups to multi-million dollar corporations and was exposed to all aspects of business successes and failures. He was trained in all aspects of management, teamwork, customer care, human resource, business law, and operations during this period. He continued his general education with a focus on Finance and Business Management.
In 1998, Allen started his own GPS company in Pueblo, Colorado. Allen was very successful at growing his business, developing leading technology for the military, and branding the company as a market leader in the GPS industry. In 2017 the GPS company was acquired by General Dynamics Mission Systems, at which time Allen “retired.” Allen is now working on his bucket list, which includes opening a great brewery with great friends. In his free time, Allen likes to ride his mules, hunt, snow ski, play guitar, run marathons, and drink craft beer.
